দলের চেয়ারপারসন খালেদা জিয়ার নামে সামাজিক যোগাযোগের জনপ্রিয় মাধ্যম ফেসবুকে পেজ খুলছে বিএনপি। দলীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, এ বিষয়ে দলের পক্ষ থেকে চুড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে। আগামী দুই একদিনের মধ্যেই তা বাস্তবায়ন হবে। এই পেজে চলমান পৌর নির্বাচনসংশ্লিষ্ট বিভিন্ন দিকনির্দেশনা থাকবে। এ ছাড়া সমসাময়িক রাজনৈতিক সিদ্ধান্ত, অভিযোগ, বক্তব্য, মন্তব্য-সবই স্থান পাবে এই পেজে। দলটি মনে করছে, সাধারণ জনগণসহ বর্তমানে দেশের তরুণদের বড় একটি অংশেরই ভার্চুয়াল জগতে বিচরণ রয়েছে। বিএনপি নেত্রী ফেসবুকে যোগ দিলে তাদের কাছাকাছি আসা সম্ভব হবে। এতে জনগণের পরামর্শ, অভিযোগসহ সার্বিক বিষয়ে দল উপকৃত হবে।
